listen to your heart

put your right hand on your heart. ❤️ do you feel it? can you hear it?

the heart possesses 40k neurons that can sense feel learn and remember. it’s your very own electromagnetic field generator and it is sending and receiving signals up to 5 feet around you, at all times.

your heart is a huge neuro-connector, primarily of your inner world, full of dreams desires and random impassioned inklings, to your outer world, it is seeking the same inklings in others. it’s also a huge connecter of you to the universe. our hearts are linking us all together in an endless chain like one long universal pulse. and though you can’t see it, you can feel it. like when you Om and sense that vague but undeniable connection to something bigger.

come back to the right hand on your heart. stack the left hand on top of it. now listen. invite a sense of reverence.

one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves in this life is, ‘what does my heart desire?’  and then, learn to listen. because it is often such a quiet whisper, we have to become exquisitely still to hear it. it is often such a soft vibration, we have to become ethereally soft to sense it.

so ask, invite the silence, and soften. don’t be discouraged if you can’t hear it. you are just learning to listen.

then, when you hear something, follow it. because when you do, you become a co-creator with your true self. with your inner essence, or atman, as yoga reminds us. you start to feel more excitement for your choices and for your path. you have less regrets. you begin to rest in self-love, discovering the potency of living from a that place. a place where all is possible, as long as it’s aligned.

now, take your attention to the heart space again. right hand, left hand. gently press. inquire again, and listen softly.

do you hear it now? yes. you’re ready for the hard part: now TRUST what your heart has to say. believe in what it seems to want. because it is an intelligence center neurologically similar to the brain, and a lot closer to your core. know that what it wants, is wanting you. as the persian poet rumi knew when he famously wrote, “what you SEEK is  SEEKING you.“

TRUST your path will unfold, absolutely and perfectly, when your heart and your actions are beating concurrently.

“i have been a seeker and i still am,  but i stopped asking the books and the stars, i started listening to the teachings of my soul “ ~~ rumi
